One of the victims in the case against Real Madrid defender Raul Asencio has dropped charges against the 22-year-old defender. Asencio has been charged with distribution of child pornography and distribution of sexual content without consent.
Asencio is one of four former Real Madrid academy players alongside Ferran Ruiz, Andres Martin and Juan Rodriguez that are accused of the two charges, although Asencio himself was not involved in the incident or recording. The events took place in the Canary Islands, Asencio’s home, in the summer of 2023.
Two girls were involved in the incident, one aged 16 at the time, and the other 18, and both initially brought charges against the quartet from La Fabrica. Some time ago there was a report that Asencio had reached a settlement with one of the victims, but as reported by Cadena Cope, the older victim has decided to drop charges against Asencio, without a settlement.

“I accept the apology freely and voluntarily, and I express my forgiveness. I do not want him to be criminally punished,” she has allegedly said.
However the state prosecutor and the younger of the two victims remain in the case, and with intent to prosecute Asencio. The former have requested a prison sentence of 2.5 years for Asencio, although they have decided to drop the child pornography distribution charge.
On the other hand, the younger of the two victims has not dropped the child pornography distribution charge, and has requested a sentence of four years for Asencio. For his part, Asencio has declared in a public statement that he will defend his innocence, and that his conscience is clear regarding his actions. Real Madrid have not yet commented on the matter.
