When RB Leipzig welcome Borussia Dortmund to the Red Bull Arena in the Bundesliga on Saturday, one of the key battles could be between the home side's defensive chief Willi Orban and the visitors' in-form striker Serhou Guirassy.
Speaking to RB Leipzig’s website ahead of the game, Orban said he is fully aware of the threat posed by Guirassy, who has scored six goals in his last four matches. But the Hungarian centre-back also made it very clear that he's ready for the challenge.
“Guirassy is very strong in the box when it comes to crosses. With Julian Ryerson, they have a player who feels like he delivers every cross onto Serhou’s head,” Orban said, adding confidently:
“I’m looking forward to it. Opponents like that suit me.”
Overall, Orban is confident heading into the game, though he acknowledges Dortmund’s strengths.
"Dortmund are very efficient in both penalty areas. They’re very solid defensively and have very good players up front. But we don’t need to be shy. We’ll bring our qualities onto the pitch and take the chances that we are sure to get," he said.
"We'll win on Saturday, because we'll have more momentum and put in a better performance. The three points will be deserved."
The game kicks off at the Red Bull Arena on Saturday at 18:30 CET.
