Orange-Vélodrome set a new Première Ligue attendance mark as OM’s women hosted Montpellier, with 35,713 present on Saturday.
The “prise du Vel” went ahead, although the 50,000 target was not reached, according to L'Équipe.
The figure came in a 19th-round fixture, with home fans backing Corinne Diacre’s side.
The previous record was 30,661, set in 2019-2020 at Groupama Stadium for Lyon v Paris-SG, a 1-0 home win on 16 November 2019.
The overall record for a women’s match outside a major competition still stands at 43,254, set in April 2022 at Parc des Princes when PSG faced OL in a Champions League semi-final second leg that ended 1-2.
