Crystal Palace moved into the Premier League’s top four as they beat Wolves 2-0 at Molineux, handing new Wolves boss Rob Edwards a defeat in his first game in charge.

The first half was largely cagey, with Wolves showing commitment but lacking clear chances.

Jean-Philippe Mateta missed Palace’s best opportunity, while Wolves survived a potential penalty when Ismaila Sarr was clipped on the edge of the box. Joao Gomes and Ladislav Krejci also went close for the hosts, but the game remained goalless at the break.

The visitors took control after half-time. Daniel Munoz opened the scoring in the 61st minute, reacting quickly after a blocked Adam Wharton shot fell to him, and the Colombian made no mistake.

Just six minutes later, Yeremy Pino curled a stunning effort into the top corner to put the result beyond doubt.

The hosts had chances to respond, with Jhon Arias and Eddie Nketiah both missing from close range, but Palace held firm to claim the points.

The defeat leaves Wolves rooted to the bottom of the table, still searching for a first win this season, while Palace climb to fourth.
