Palmeiras Under-20 forward Sorriso is close to a move, with Avaí in advanced talks over a season-long loan with no option to buy, according to Nosso Palestra.

The Série B side are targeting the academy attacker for 2026. Criciúma and Juventude also explored a deal, but talks did not progress.

Sorriso shone at the 2026 Copinha, delivering five goals and four assists in seven matches. He was also close to joining FC Baniyas in the United Arab Emirates, but Palmeiras had already reached FIFA’s limit on international loans.

He has been at the club since 2024. He earned his move after impressing at the 2024 Copinha with Atlético Guaratinguerá, then signed once the tournament ended.

Sorriso settled quickly, featuring in 44 matches in 2024 and 45 in 2025. His most prolific year was 2025, when he scored 11 goals, up from 10 in 2024.
