Palmeiras are preparing an improved deal for Flaco López, who has been called up by Argentina for the World Cup. The striker is attracting interest from Europe ahead of the next window.
According to Nosso Palestra, the club will meet the player and his representatives after the tournament to recognise his form and development in the first half of the season, with López now a key figure for Abel Ferreira.
Despite that intention and a desire to keep him, Palmeiras accept he will be in demand, and that if bids exceed €40 million his stay is viewed as unlikely by the parties.
López is Palmeiras’ top scorer this season and has matched Marlon Freitas for appearances in early 2026. In 35 games he has scored 14 goals and provided eight assists.
His contract was renewed in September 2025 and runs until the end of 2029.
