Palmeiras are pursuing midfield reinforcements and have Danilo of Botafogo back in their sights. The academy graduate is among the options under review.
According to Nosso Palestra, after the match on Wednesday the 18th, the club revived their interest and contacted people close to the player to gauge a move.
Last month Palmeiras made an approach, then received an official note from Jhon Textor stating Botafogo would not sell the midfielder at this time. Abel Ferreira wants the player.
If there is a positive signal over talks, Palmeiras do not rule out tabling a proposal involving a squad player plus a significant fee.
Meanwhile, despite her public denials, president Leila Pereira has shown interest in Fabinho, formerly of Liverpool and now at Al Ittihad. Any deal is viewed as very difficult due to finances and the player’s wish not to return to Brazilian football.
