Paulo Dybala has clarified his intentions regarding his future, signaling a desire to remain at AS Roma, even as the club weighs up an offer for a contract renewal. Crucially, the Argentine’s potential departure in the upcoming January transfer window is completely out of the question.

According to the local edition of La Repubblica, as reported by Tuttomercatoweb, Dybala’s desire to stay with the Giallorossi is a welcome piece of news, especially after speculation linked him with a potential return to Argentina, specifically Boca Juniors. The forward was reportedly surprised by these rumors and is committed to seeing out the season in Rome.

For a new deal to materialize, however, the report indicates that a first round of talks is expected between Roma management and Dybala’s agent in the coming weeks, as the player is expecting the club to take the next step.

Roma Takes Time on Renewal

Roma, meanwhile, is taking its time to reflect on the situation. The management, under figures like Massara, aims to focus on players under 30 and reduce the overall wage bill. At 32, Dybala currently earns €8.5 million net per season plus bonuses, a figure the club will be reluctant to match in a new agreement.
