Pedro Rocha strikes to lift Coritiba into sixth

Coritiba beat Remo 1-0 on Sunday at the Couto Pereira, with Pedro Rocha's first half finish lifting the hosts from seventh to sixth in the Brasileirão, while the visitors slipped to 19th.
Rocha finished from close range in the 24th minute after Breno Lopes picked him out.
Marcelo Rangel kept Leão Azul in the game, saving Sebastian Gomez's header (42.) and blocking Rocha's effort (71.).
Coxa defended the area well, with Tiago Cóser clearing repeatedly and Bruno Melo steady down the left as changes arrived just after the hour.
Coxa managed eight attempts, four on target, and 41.9% possession. Leão Azul registered 14 attempts but hit the target only once despite 58.1% possession.
