Alfredo Pedulla feels that the transfer window from Inter Milan this summer is worthy of a 6/10 grade.

In the end, Inter finished the transfer window after making five signings.

Deadline day arrival Manuel Akanji joined the likes of Petar Sucic, Luis Henrique, Ange-Yoan Bonny, and Andy Diouf as new arrivals.

In addition, and just as significantly, Inter have brought striker Francesco Pio Esposito into the first team fold.

The 20-year-old has already made an appearance for Inter this season. He came off the bench against Udinese last weekend.

Meanwhile, Inter pursued Ademola Lookman for several weeks. It turned out to be the soap opera of the summer transfer window, and Inter missed out on the Nigerian, who Atalanta refused to sell.

Then, Inter had also made a big money offer for Roma midfielder Manu Kone prior to signing Andy Diouf.

SportItalia transfer market expert Alfredo Pedulla commented that Inter’s business has been “sufficient.”

“I give Inter’s transfer window a 6/10 or 6.5/10,” he said.

“Their philosophy has been to focus on young players, and then to make a big splash.”

“They signed the young players they wanted to,” Pedulla said. “But they didn’t make that big splash.”

“I’m referring to that player who gives them a different quality in the final third,” he explained.

Pedulla argued that, as far as an attacking signing, “they should have followed through and brought in someone to complete the attack.”

He argued that Inter need “a different kind of creativity.”

“Not just to play with the same forwards. Who are obviously great players, but with more or less the same characteristics.”
