Gasperini has some good news from the infirmary.

Lorenzo Pellegrini is close to returning.

As Il Tempo reports, after missing five matches, the Giallorossi’s No. 7 will return to training with the group today.

Pellegrini has been sidelined since December 24th, when he injured his left hamstring.

Initially, his recovery time was estimated at 3-4 weeks, but in recent days the midfielder has shown positive signs.

Pellegrini’s return is good news for Roma, who are struggling with several injuries in their attack.

Pellegrini is aiming to be called up for the match against Torino. Ferguson, too, is expected to be available for the match against Torino after missing the Coppa Italia round of 16.

Gasperini will already have new arrivals Vaz and Malen available against Torino.

In attack, the coach could deploy the Dutchman as a focal point alongside Dybala and Soulé.
