Porto quartet shine, Portugal beat Denmark to progress at Euro handball

The Portuguese handball team made history by defeating the four-time world champion, Denmark, for the first time, with a score of 29-31 in the final round of the group stage of the European Championship. This result placed Portugal at the top of Group B, with five points, thanks to this victory, the win over Romania (40-34), and the draw with North Macedonia (29-29).

Rui Silva, Leonel Fernandes, and Ricardo Brandão were Paulo Jorge Pereira’s choices, while José Luís Ferreira was not included on the match sheet.
