The Premier League have appointed Jarred Gillett to referee Tottenham Hotspur vs Leeds United on Monday. Neil Davies and Steve Meredith will run the lines, Tom Kirk is fourth official and Craig Pawson will oversee VAR.

Leeds travel with safety virtually secured after Friday’s 3-1 win over Burnley. Goals from Anton Stach, Noah Okafor and Dominic Calvert-Lewin took them to 43 points, and they will be safe if West Ham lose to Arsenal on Sunday.

The hosts remain in the relegation fight despite back-to-back wins. A 2-1 victory at Aston Villa lifted Tottenham out of the bottom three, but they are only one point above West Ham in 18th, with Leeds set to visit both.

Gillett has refereed 20 Premier League matches this season, averaging 19.85 fouls and 3.55 yellow cards per game, placing him among the more lenient officials. Leeds are winless in four league fixtures with him this season.

He also oversaw last month’s FA Cup semi-final defeat to Chelsea and was rated four out of 10 by Graham Smyth, who described the display as infuriatingly inconsistent.

Farke earlier criticised a free-kick against Stach in the 3-1 loss at Nottingham Forest, arguing it was wrongly awarded and led to the second goal. He added that Leeds would have preferred to play by the rules while accepting their own faults.
