Primera Nacional: Proposal considers adding interzonal matches next season

The proposal to include two interzonal or classic match dates in the format of the next Primera Nacional tournament is being evaluated, with the draw scheduled for December 22. The final implementation of the project depends on the approval of AFA president, Claudio "Chiqui" Tapia.

The measure aims to add more attractive matches to the calendar, a format similar to that already applied in the Professional League.

Inclusion of Classics: The idea is to guarantee at least two encounters between historical rivals from different zones throughout the season.
Pending Approval: Although the proposal is advancing, the final decision rests with the AFA and its president, who could accept the motion or suggest variations.
Fixture Draw: The draw, which was originally scheduled for an earlier date, will finally take place on December 22, at which time the official confirmation of the final format is expected.
