PSG continue to dwarf Ligue 1 on pay, with overall average salaries broadly down across the division. According to L'Équipe, Marseille have significantly increased their spend while Paris Saint-Germain remain in a league of their own.

PSG's average gross salary per player stands at 650 000 euros, only 3 000 euros higher than last season.

Marseille pay an average 300 000 euros gross per month, up 50 000 on last season. Monaco are third on 140 000 euros, unchanged year on year. Lens, in the title race, sit 10th on 80 000, a 14 000 increase.

Excluding promoted sides whose prior data was unavailable, only Strasbourg, at 100 000 from 85 000, and Auxerre, at 40 000 from 37 000, also rise versus 2024-25. By contrast, Nantes have cut from 80 000 to 50 000, followed by declines at Angers, 33.3%, then Toulouse, 22.2%.

Rennes are at 118 000, down from 150 000, with Lyon on 110 000 and Nice 98 000, both lower than a year ago. Lille remain at 95 000, Paris FC are on 84 000, Brest 50 000, Lorient 42 500, Metz 28 000, Le Havre 20 000 and Angers 18 000. These figures are average gross salaries for 2026.
