Paris authorities have banned Lyon supporters from the Parc des Princes for Sunday’s PSG v OL match, the 30th round of Ligue 1, kicking off at 20:45.
According to Le Progres, the Paris police prefecture has issued an order citing serious risks of clashes. The measure runs from 19 April at 17:00 until 20 April 2026 at 01:00.
It applies to anyone claiming to support Olympique Lyonnais, or behaving as such, who are barred from the stadium and from moving or parking on public roads across the City of Paris and Boulogne-Billancourt within a broad perimeter.
Officials point to a long-standing rivalry between the clubs’ fanbases. One of the most recent flashpoints was a clash at the Fontainebleau toll on 25 May 2024 before the Coupe de France final, with those incidents later closed without further action.
The prefecture warned the 19 April fixture could prompt confrontations before and after the game between determined Paris supporters and their Lyon counterparts.
