PSG’s Khvicha Kvaratskhelia after beating Chelsea: ‘We are capable of everything.’ | OneFootball

Khvicha Kvaratskhelia was once again on the scoresheet as Paris Saint-Germain dumped Chelsea out of the UEFA Champions League. 

The PSG winger netted a brace coming off the bench in the first leg, contributing to a 5-2 win at the Parc des Princes. He started at Stamford Bridge and needed just six minutes to get on the scoresheet. Les Parisiens won 3-0 on the night and 8-2 on aggregate. 

In a mixed zone interview attended by Get French Football News, Kvaratskhelia, elected man of the match, gave his reaction. “We tried to get our confidence back. We are playing our game. To come to Stamford Bridge and win 3-0 is not easy, but we did it, so we know that we are capable of everything. We just have to trust ourselves,” he told us. 

Kvaratskhelia believes Safonov should have been named MOTM

The Georgia international added, “I think now in the Champions League there is no easy opponent and everyone wants to compete. We just try to play our game, whether or not it is a Premier League team.”

He also had a word for goalkeeper Matvey Safonov. “He was great tonight. Even when I was given the MOTM trophy, I wasn’t thinking about it because he played such a great game and made so many saves. He had a great game. We are happy to have him.”
