Rafa Silva was again omitted by Besiktas, his prolonged absence sharpening doubts over his future and complicating Benfica’s pursuit.
According to Glorioso 1904, the Portuguese winger was not named for the Türkiye Cup tie with Ankara Keçiörengücü. Besiktas beat the second tier side 3-0 through Tammy Abraham, El Bilal Touré and Kartal Yilmaz.
His last appearance came on 2 November, a 3-2 home defeat to Fenerbahçe. He has not featured in any starting line-ups or subsequent squads since.
Benfica are tracking the situation and are open to paying a fee to bring him back to Benfica. Besiktas are holding firm at 15 million euros, which is currently preventing any agreement.
This season Rafa Silva, valued at 5 million euros, has played 16 times for Besiktas. He has made 10 appearances in the Süper Lig, four in the Europa Conference League and two in Europa League qualifying. Across 1,360 minutes he has five goals and three assists, and his contract runs to June 2028.
