With the £5M signing of Ryan Naderi, it took January’s final total of spending to around £14M, and potentially £23M if Andreas Skov Olsen’s deal is made permanent. £5M on Naderi, £5M on Chukwuani, £4M on Rommens and the theoretical £9M on Skov Olsen too.

Ibrox Noise reported to you some many weeks ago after the window opened that Danny Rohl had been given a January budget of around £20M.

Our sources told us that while there was naturally wiggle room around this, that was the ballpark figure.

And yes, the spending this January matches that, give or take.

It is the most expensive January window Rangers have ever had, smashing previous records by absolute miles.

Indeed, aside Raskin and Cantwell for a combined £3M in January 2023, Rangers’ all-time record that window had been Walter in 2007 on Kevin Thomson. £2M.

Astonishing

This January has seen astonishing numbers spent, as we reported it would.

Essentially we brought in £20M worth of talent, as our sources told us, with one of those being a loan with option.

The total would go into the summer if Rangers elect to take up the option on the Dane.

Time will tell on that one.

But in the meantime, while we know many fans like to dispute things that they read about their club unless they’re good, Ibrox Noise brings you what we get. Good and bad.

Naturally when it’s not so good it’s ‘who wrote this p*sh’ and ‘fake news’ and ‘this is the worst Rangers site on the planet man’.

We get that all the time when we have to bring things that aren’t so positive.

But we get our information honestly, and bring it to you. Especially about Rangers January record.

And when it’s positive, well, we prefer that…

Trust Ibrox Noise, even though we are human and will make mistakes.
