RB Leipzig ‘to sign’ Rocco Reitz for €20m plus add-ons | OneFootball

According to Sky Germany, RB Leipzig are set to sign Borussia Mönchengladbach captain Rocco Reitz this summer for €20 million, with a further €3 million in bonuses.

The 23-year-old is reported to have signed a contract running to 2031 after the clubs reached full agreement.

Although his deal was said to include a €25 million release clause, both sides deemed that figure out of step with the market, settling on a package that gives Gladbach a strong fee and Leipzig planning flexibility.

Leipzig have been targeting a dynamic central midfielder who marries defensive work with progressive passing, and sporting director Marcel Schäfer had marked Reitz as a priority.

Reitz has emerged over the past two seasons as one of the Bundesliga’s standout prospects, becoming a leader at Borussia-Park despite his age. His energy, tactical intelligence and pressing profile fit Leipzig’s high-intensity approach.

An official announcement is expected within the next 24 hours.
