According to a revelation made by Fichajes, it has been revealed that Real Betis have approached Real Madrid regarding a potential loan for forward Gonzalo Garcia.

It is evident that the Real Madrid academy product has struggled to secure regular playing time under Xabi Alonso, and those close to him believe a loan could provide the continuity he needs to grow and build confidence.

As such, Betis manager Manuel Pellegrini is actively seeking a striker and sees Gonzalo as an ideal fit.

Described as young, hungry, and with a super projection, the forward could provide a valuable boost to Betis’ attack in the second half of the season.

The La Liga club views a loan as a low-risk, cost-effective solution that could strengthen a position that has been challenging for them this campaign.

Pellegrini also believes Gonzalo’s arrival would increase competition within the squad, pushing current forwards to raise their level.

A win-win move for everyone

Real Madrid are well aware of Gonzalo’s potential and have no intention of selling him permanently.

The forward recently extended his contract until 2030, and the club sees a loan as a strategic step to help him gain La Liga experience while keeping him under close observation.

Within Real Madrid, the plan would ensure Gonzalo, who is also wanted by Como, receives significant playing time and responsibility in attack, allowing him to develop while contributing meaningfully to Betis.

The young striker has made it clear that his long-term goal is to succeed at Real Madrid, but he recognises that consistent minutes are vital for his growth.

A move to Betis could therefore be mutually beneficial: Betis gain a talented striker capable of impacting their season, while Gonzalo gains the experience needed to eventually claim a regular spot at Real Madrid.
