After announcing the signings of Dean Huijsen, Trent Alexander-Arnold, and Franco Mastantuono, Real Madrid are now focusing on securing the renewals of some of their existing players.
Negotiations continue with Vinicius Jr., with an agreement over a new deal yet to be finalised despite the club offering a €20 million per season five-year contract until 2030.
But there appears to be some good news as far as a new deal for one of the club’s breakthrough talents is concerned.
Indeed, according to journalist Miguel Angel Diaz of COPE, Real Madrid and Raul Asencio have reached an agreement for the young defender to sign a new contract until 2031.
Asencio has been at the club since 2017 when he made the switch from Las Palmas youth academy and has enjoyed a steady progress through the ranks.

Real Madrid’s injury crisis in defence this season opened the doors for the 22-year-old centre-back to make his debut under Carlo Ancelotti and he did not look back from thereon.
Asencio went on to make 42 first-team appearances for Los Blancos, even registering a couple of assists. On the back of his performances, the youngster even earned a call-up to the Spanish national team in March this year.
Given his rapid rise, Real Madrid had moved quickly to activate a first-team contract extension for the 22-year-old, while also removing his €50 million release clause.
Now set to be a starter at centre-back at the FIFA Club World Cup alongside Dean Huijsen, Asencio has agreed a new contract with improved terms until 2031.
