The Brazilian market has been Real Madrid’s go-to destination in recent years when the club have looked to nurture young talents. In the form of Vinicius Jr., Rodrygo, and most recently Endrick, it is safe to say that it did not disappoint the club’s expectations.

Florentino Perez and Co., thus, continue to monitor the market every year and look for new talent to swoop into their plans.

According to Defensa Central in a recent report, the player in question is none other than the former Real Madrid player’s son – Robinho Jr.

Following his father’s footsteps

Robinho played for Real Madrid from the middle of 2005 and stayed at the club for three seasons. During that period, he went on to score 35 goals and provide 28 assists in 137 official matches for the club.

Now, it is his son Robinho Jr. who catches Los Blancos’ eye and the 17-year-old is considered one of the last remaining gems of his age group in the Brazilian league who has not yet been snapped up.

The youngster currently plays for Santos alongside the likes of Neymar Jr. and Tiquinho Soares and already dons the No. 7 shirt for the team.

But there is talk of a potential departure in the coming seasons with Real Madrid being most strongly linked to his signing.

Concurrently, however, the likes of Chelsea and Liverpool from England have also shown significant interest and follow closely.

No negotiations have begun yet between Real Madrid and Santos over his transfer but the club have received positive scouting reports and may well pursue his signing in the coming transfer windows.
