Real Madrid are closing in on a deal to sign RB Leipzig star Yan Diomande.
The Spanish giants recently had a £85.4m bid rejected by Leipzig for the exciting teenager.
But the latest update from reputed journalist Ben Jacobs is Madrid have reached an agreement in principle with the Bundesliga club for Diomande.
They have already agreed personal terms with the young forward.
Diomande has significantly enhanced his reputation as one of the best young forwards in the world since joining Leipzig in 2025.
Last season, he bagged 13 goals and 10 assists in 36 appearances across all competitions.
Diomande also represented Ivory Coast at the summer’s World Cup, starting all four games for his country.
His rapid development has put him on the radar of some of the biggest European clubs.
Liverpool have registered an interest in the 19-year-old, but they aren’t willing to meet Leipzig’s enormous valuation.
Manchester City and Arsenal are also keen, but it appears the Ivorian will be heading to Madrid.
Los Blancos want to add a quality winger, with Franco Mastantuono enduring a difficult debut season and Brahim Diaz looking to jump ship in search of playing time.
Diomande would be an excellent addition for Madrid, given his age and technical abilities. He is highly rated for his blistering pace, dribbling skills and versatility across the frontline.
