During his final season at PSG, Mbappé seemed to lose focus. In October 2023, RMC Sport pundit Daniel Riolo raised concerns about his behavior, pointing out his frequent late-night outings.

His trip to Stockholm early in the 2024-25 season caused significant controversy, but he has since refocused on his football career. In recent weeks, Mbappé has been spending more time with Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti and former stars like Eden Hazard, looking to them for guidance.

As RMC Sport’s Jérôme Rothen pointed out, the French international, who has always been very professional in his behavior since the start of his career, began to adopt new habits that reflected a shift in his approach.

One notable change was his tendency to extend his nights out in Parisian clubs. This marked a departure from his previously disciplined lifestyle, suggesting that his time at PSG was coming to a natural conclusion.

“Off the pitch, it’s clear that in recent months in Paris, he lost focus on some things like his professional attitude, getting enough rest, eating well, and sleeping properly,” Rothen said (h/t Le10Sport).

“But the reality is, since he’s been in Madrid, it seems like he’s gotten back on track over the past few weeks. Things are definitely looking better on that front now.”

In recent weeks, the Frenchman’s performance has improved as he’s scored at least one goal in five of his last six matches across all competitions for the La Liga side.
