On his X account this Wednesday, Federico Valverde broke his silence to address his form and his relationship with Real Madrid coach Xabi Alonso.

Since the start of the season, the Uruguayan international has seemed to struggle under Xabi Alonso's management. Criticized in the Spanish press, Federico Valverde wasted no time responding to these comments: "I've read several articles that have damaged my reputation. I know I've played poorly in some matches, I am aware of it. I'm not hiding, and I take responsibility. I am truly sad," he explained in his message on X.

He also wanted to defend himself against certain accusations. "People can say many things about me, but under no circumstances can they say that I refuse to play.
