Régis Le Bris's Sunderland XI to face Leeds United predicted | OneFootball

Sunderland face Leeds United in New Jersey at 12.30am BST on Friday, the second outing of their US tour under Régis Le Bris.

According to Sunderland Echo, Melker Ellborg could continue in goal, with Roefs back after World Cup duty but likely to be eased in.

Nordi Mukiele returned to right back against Liverpool and has been central to Sunderland’s success against them. It would be a major surprise if he did not line up there on opening day and beyond, and he is likely to continue in that role here.

At centre back, Dan Ballard made an excellent return from ankle surgery in the Liverpool game and will look to build on that strong start to pre-season.

Luke O’Nien is also in contention at centre back, with Omar Alderete due back on Wearside next month after the World Cup. O’Nien has made a solid start on tour and has a chance to stake a claim for regular minutes.
