Rémi Himbert suffered an ankle injury within a minute of coming on, raising the prospect that Lyon may be without their in-form forward for a few days or weeks. Le Progres notes the club could be deprived of him for that period.

Introduced in the 67th minute for Tagliafico to add presence up front, he collected his first ball and Duran landed on his ankle, which twisted. After several seconds on the turf, he left the pitch supported by the physios and club doctor, unable to put weight on it.

Paulo Fonseca was non-committal on the extent, saying he had spoken to the doctor, feared it was not good, and that they would wait until back in Lyon for a full assessment.

The timing is especially cruel for the young striker, who has scored three goals and registered one assist since late January.

OL could regain attacking options for next week’s round of 16 second leg against Celta, with Fonseca hoping at least to have Afonso Moreira, Pavel Sulc and possibly Malick Fofana on the bench.

He is believed to have undergone tests at a Vigo hospital after the match, with Lyon not due back until Friday afternoon following a morning session in Spain.
