Rémi Himbert to sign three-year deal with Lyon | OneFootball

Rémi Himbert (18) has been the breakout star from Olympique Lyonnais’ renowned academy this season. The forward has benefitted from the lack of depth up-front, even despite Endrick’s arrival on loan from Real Madrid, to cement himself as a viable option under Paulo Fonseca. RMC Sport now understands that the Frenchman is set to be rewarded with his first professional deal. 

Himbert came off the bench in the Coupe de France in midweek. At the time, his side were trailing 2-0 to Pierre Sage’s men, but he registered an assist and then a last-gasp goal as Lyon took the game to a penalty shoot-out, which OL would go on to lose. 

RMC Sport now understands that Himbert, having turned 18 on 29th February, will now put pen to paper on a three-year deal, which will include the option for a further year. An agreement between all parties has been reached.
