Cristian Chivu’s appointment could convince Davide Frattesi to drop the idea of leaving Inter Milan in the summer transfer window.
Per Corriere dello Sport via FCInterNews, the managerial change has changed the Italian’s mind.
Heavily linked with a move to Roma in January, Davide Frattesi rejected the move and nearly won the Champions League with Inter.
Yet, his first-team opportunities under ex-manager Simone Inzaghi were at a premium.
Therefore, many expected the 25-year-old to leave the San Siro at the end of the season.
However, Chivu’s arrival has flipped the script.

Frattesi has always felt comfortable in the Nerazzurri locker room despite limited playing time.
But like every other elite athlete, the Italy international aspires to play a leading role on the pitch, not just be a supporting act.
Chivu’s vision for the new Inter could be just what the doctor orderer.
Unfortunately, Cristian Chivu has been without the former Sassuolo midfielder in Inter’s first two Club World Cup games.
As things stand, Frattesi will also miss the upcoming clash against River Plate due to injury.
