Sportitalia transfer pundit Alfredo Pedullà claims that Roma have a basic deal for Crysencio Summerville with West Ham United for under €50m (£42.6m), despite Aston Villa, Tottenham and Manchester United interest.
There has been a great deal of debate over the presence of a release clause at €53m, but it was later clarified that it is not written into the contract so much as a gentleman’s agreement in case of relegation from the Premier League.

The Hammers promised to release the player this summer for an affordable fee if they dropped down to the Championship.

While talkSPORT report today that Aston Villa, Manchester United and Tottenham are all following the situation carefully, it might be too late for them to dive in with a proposal.
That is because Sportitalia’s Pedullà insists that a basic deal is in place with Roma for a package just under €50m, and they are working on the details.
This is similar to the version provided by another Italian pundit, Eleonora Trotta, on Monday.
It is expected to break down to around €45-46m plus add-ons to get the agreement over the line.
The presence of Donyell Malen at Roma and seeing his extraordinary form since the move to Serie A also helped make Summerville’s mind up, along with their Champions League qualification.
