Reports: Wilson Odobert to miss the rest of the season

Reports in France suggest that Wilson Odobert could miss the rest of the season in another injury blow for Tottenham Hotspur.

Spurs have had rotten luck with injuries this season and whoever succeeds Thomas Frank may have one less player to choose from.

Odobert had to replaced by another Frenchman, Mathys Tel, 35 minutes into the 2-1 defeat at home to Newcastle United that ultimately saw the end of Frank's term in charge of the club.

According to Le Parisien, Odobert underwent tests earlier today which suggested a torn anterior cruciate ligament. Depending on the severity of the tear, the 21-year-old could require surgery which would mean his season is over.

The former Burnley man has played 33 times in all competitions for Spurs this season, scoring twice and making four assists.
