Former Chelsea striker Chris Sutton says that Chelsea should beat Leeds United tonight ‘fairly comfortably’ and get ‘revenge’.

Chelsea face their second serious relegation battling club in a row, welcoming Leeds to Stamford Bridge tonight in the Premier League match up.

There really is no easy game in this league though, even the easier games can potentially throw up some issues. Chelsea cruised to a 3-0 half time lead against Wolves away from home on Saturday afternoon, but they stumbled a bit more in the second half, letting them get back in the game a bit and grab a goal back. So even though they won 3-1, it wasn’t an easy second half at all.

Two penalties from Cole Palmer in quick succession and then a nice finish in open play within 25 minutes was enough to get that job done though and make the score line look comfortable.

Sutton thinks it’s going to be similar tonight.

In words picked up on X this week, Sutton says:

“This game smells of Chelsea revenge to me. The Blues have made a good start under new boss Liam Rosenior, with four wins out of four in the league. Cole Palmer has hit form too, and they should win this fairly comfortably.”

A good start is needed

Chelsea need to now focus on playing well across 90 minutes in games and not just one half. But a good start to this one will be important as you do not want to allow Leeds to build any confidence or momentum in the game and getting them believing they can do something here and grab all three points.

Liam Rosenior will hope his incredible start at Chelsea can continue tonight.
