Scotland captain Andy Robertson says revenge is not on his side’s mind as they face off against Morocco in the World Cup.
The Tartan Army head into their second group stage match of the tournament in high spirits after defeating Haiti 1-0 in their first World Cup match since 1998.
They face off against 2022 semi-finalists Morocco, with their only previous fixture against each other being at the 1998 finals, where the Atlas Lions ran out 3-0 victors. Robertson says revenge is not on his side’s mind heading into the match.
“I was four during the last game it happened!” Robertson said. “So I don’t think revenge, I’d be holding that in for a long time if that was the case.
“We look forward to the game. Morocco are a fantastic team and one of the best in the world. They’ve done so well and were a credit to Africa at the last World Cup.

“Our aim is to win the game, their plan is to win the game. Hopefully, we are the ones smiling at the end of the game.”
Steve Clarke’s side play in Boston for the second consecutive match, but Robertson does not feel any advantage for his side is gained.
“I don’t think it gives us an advantage, but I think walking back into the stadium having that good feeling, having walked off the pitch last time with our first World Cup win since 1990.
“I think that can give us positivity but doesn’t gain us an advantage.
“We have a nice feeling here, which is better than not having a nice feeling.”
