Frederic Massara continues to work on the transfer market to provide coach Gian Piero Gasperini with the reinforcements he requested ahead of the new season.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the Giallorossi are seeking a new player to strengthen their midfield after the failed deal for Richard Ríos, who moved from Palmeiras to Benfica.
The name Roma are considering is Amadou Haidara, a RB Leipzig midfielder born in 1998 who has consistently excelled in his position in the Bundesliga in recent years with interceptions, ball recovery, and defensive tackles.
The player would therefore fill the defensive midfield role.
After six years in Germany, RB Leipzig is asking around €20 million for the Malian.
