Serie A could witness a key transfer domino in the summer and it will involve the two Kones – Manu Kone and Ismael, with Roma and Inter also to play a role.
Today’s Gazzetta dello Sport report that there is a real possibility of Roma bidding farewell to their own Kone in the summer. Inter tried to sign him last summer but failed. This summer, things can be different as the Nerazzurri remain in the hunt.
This is mainly because of financial fairplay reasons. If Inter pay between €40m and €50m for the France international, Roma would agree to the sale. The Giallorossi paid a deal totalling €20m for Kone in 2023 and they would relish a capital gain of around €30m from his sale.
That money can be used to bring in Ismael Kone from Sassuolo, with the player having impressed since his arrival. He is currently on loan from Marseille but Sassuolo will turn the deal into a permanent one and a fee of around €30m would be acceptable to them.
That is why the idea is gaining ground and will depend on how Inter operate.
