Santos have extended attacking midfielder Enzo Boer’s contract until 31 December after his Copinha campaign. According to Diario Do Peixe, his previous deal was due to expire on 31 January and the extension should be registered in the CBF’s BID soon.

Boer has aged out of the youth ranks and is now under the professional football department. He is on a break with the Copinha group and will report back on 2 February.

Head coach Juan Pablo Vojvoda will assess him to decide whether he will be used. If not, he could be loaned, with two Brazilian clubs keen and further possibilities abroad.

The player’s preference is to prove himself and earn a chance with the first team.

Boer joined the academy in September 2024 after years at São Paulo, where he had been since the age of 11 and was not offered a new deal. That year he did not play official tournaments and was among Santos’ top scorers at the Copa Atlântico Under-19.

Last year he scored four in 24 matches in the Paulista Sub-20 and two in 13 in the Brasileiro at the same level. This month he featured in three Copinha games.
