Serie A 2025/26, fixtures to be announced on Friday | OneFootball

2024/25 has only just finished, but it's already time to get thinking about next season. Lega Serie A have announced that they will unveil the fixture list for Serie A 2025/26 at 18:30 CEST on Friday 6 June. The event will take place at the Teatro Regio in Parma as part of the second Festival della Serie A. Lega's President, Ezio Simonelli, and CEO, Luigi De Siervo, will attend the event.

The presentation will be made all the more special by special guests Christian Vieri and Ciro Ferrara as Ambassadors for Lega Serie A; they will be in Parma to comment on the fixtures for next season.

SERIE A 2025/26: DATES

In March, Lega Serie A announced that Serie A 2025/26 will begin on the weekend of 23/24 August 2025 and finish on Sunday 24 May 2026.

REGULATION AND CRITERIA FOR THE 2025/26 SERIE A CALENDAR

ASYMETRY: once again in the 2025/26 season, the games order in the first half of the campaign will be different to the second half, with a minimum of an eight game distance between fixtures against the same opponent in order to respect the increasing number of ties related to public order reasons, the growing number of matches in European competitions, local events and Club's demands while trying to maximise television audience numbers and stadium attendance.

DERBIES: scheduled on different matchdays and not on the first day of the season, neither midweek (matchday 9).

MATCHES BETWEEN TEAMS IN EUROPEAN COMPETITIONS: the teams playing in the UEFA Champions League will not face teams in the UEFA Europea League, or the UEFA Conference League on matchdays 5, 22, 26, 29, 32 and 35 between two rounds of "back-to-back" UEFA competition games.

MIDWEEK ROUNDS: matchdays 9 and 19.

ALTERNATION: alternation is planned for home and away game for the following clubs: INTER-AC MILAN, LAZIO-ROMA, JUVENTUS-TORINO, FIORENTINA-PISA, with several exceptions due to coinciding events that will not allow it: specifically at the start of the season giving Fiorentina and Pisa a chance to finish works at their venues, for AC Milan and Inter when they will not be able to use San Siro, which will be the stage of the Opening Ceremony of the Milan-Cortina Winter Olympics on 6 February 2026.

NO WINTER BREAK: the 25/26 season from 24 August 2025 to 24 May 2026 will only take breaks for 4 FIFA windows (7 September, 12 October, 16 November, 29 March) and over the Christmas period games will be played on 21 December, 28 December and 3 January, before the midweek games on 6 January.

COPPA ITALIA 2025/26: THE DATES

Inter will begin their journey in the Coppa Italia Frecciarossa in the Round of 16. Lega Serie A has announced the dates of all the rounds of the cup next season.

ROUND OF 16: Wednesday 3 December 2025 - Wednesday 17 December 2025

QUARTER-FINALS: Wednesday 4 February 2026 - Wednesday 11 February 2026

SEMI-FINALS: First leg: Wednesday 4 March 2026 Second leg: Wednesday 22 April 2026

FINAL: Wednesday 13 May 2026

The event will begin at 18:30 CEST on Friday evening. The ceremony will be livestreamed on Lega Serie A's YouTube channel and website and on Radio TV Serie A.
