The SFA have confirmed the appointment of experienced referee John Beaton for Celtic’s midweek clash to face Falkirk. The Scottish Champions travel to the Falkirk Stadium to face John McGlynn’s side as Martin O’Neill looks to save Celtic’s season.
Celtic go into the game looking to catch leaders Hearts as the Hoops play their game in hand over Rangers. It will be a tough game but hopefully we won’t be talking about refereeing decisions after the game. With the title race in Scotland on a knife edge, the SFA have appointed senior referee Beaton for the game. The 44-year-old has been confirmed as the man in the middle for Wednesday night’s televised clash.

Beaton will be assisted by Ross Macleod and Alastair Mather.
Meanwhile, back at Clydesdale House, Grant Irvine is on VAR duties with Ross Hardie assisting.
Beaton has refereed three Celtic away games this season with the experienced whistleblower overseeing wins away under Brendan Rodgers at Aberdeen and Kilmarnock. However, he last took charge of a Celtic match in mid December as then boss Wilfried Nancy oversaw a fourth consecutive defeat after Dundee United came from behind to beat Celtic at Tannadice.
