Khadija (Bunny) Shaw revealed that she will be staying at Manchester City past this season amid rumours she could be leaving the club.
Shaw was a major part of the City side that won their first Women’s Super Leagu title since 2016, scoring 21 goals in 22 goals.
The 29-year-old also won the FWA Women’s Football of the Year award and announced on stage at their parade after winning the title that she will be staying at the club.
“I am still here, I am still hungry and there is no place I would rather be,” she said.
Shaw added that she was “happy to announce I will be staying at the football club”, before being mobbed by her team-mates.
The forward is the club’s record goalscorer and announced a new contract that will take her through to 2030.
Manchester City Women next face Brighton in the FA Cup final on Sunday as they aim to win their second trophy of the season.
