Matias Soulé’s future may not be with the Giallorossi.

The Argentine winger is waiting to see whether or not he will continue to play for Roma next season.

There are three reasons for this uncertainty: Financial Fair Play and the club’s need to make approximately €60 million in capital gains by June 30th, the club’s search for other wingers, and the player’s desire to prove himself abroad, especially in the Premier League.

Soulé is still listed on the club’s books for €15.3 million, which is why, to make a significant capital gain, Roma would have to sell him for at least €40 million, if not more. This is a difficult scenario at the moment.

As reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport, Roma are on the hunt for wingers, from Greenwood to Tzolis, including Tel and Summerville, which is

why they’re expected to face a lot of competition next season. The Argentine winger is also attracted by the Premier League, a league from which the Giallorossi could also receive an offer they can’t refuse.

The most interested club is Aston Villa, with Emery holding Soulé in high regard.

To shake Roma’s interest, a proposal of at least €40 million, preferably a little more, would be needed.
