City’s Barclays Women’s Super League fixtures with Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United have been altered for television coverage in the United Kingdom.
Andrée Jeglertz’s side will now host the Londoners on Saturday 21 March at 12:00 (UK) with the clash at the Joie Stadium broadcast on Sky Sports.
The Blues’ trip to Old Trafford will be shown on BBC One and has been moved to Saturday 28 March, with a start time of 13:30 (UK).
We recorded a superb 5-1 victory in our reverse fixture with Spurs back in September with goals coming from Aoba Fujino, Vivianne Miedema, Kerstin Casparij, Grace Clinton and Laura Coombs.
Since then, though, Martin Ho’s side have enjoyed a strong top-flight campaign and currently sit fifth in the division.
City’s previous meeting with Manchester United was one to savour as we put our cross-city rivals to the sword, 3-0, at the Etihad Stadium in November.
In what was a breathless first-half display by Jeglertz’s team, Rebecca Knaak opened the scoring with a trademark header in the 26th minute.
Khadija ‘Bunny’ Shaw doubled our lead two minutes before the interval before Lauren Hemp rounded off the scoring on the cusp of the break.
City also enter the final six WSL matches of the season at the top of the table, eight points clear of Marc Skinner’s side in second as we relentlessly pursue the title before the term’s end.
