Fernando José da Silva, known as Nandão, has continued to work at Corinthians despite president Osmar Stabile publicly saying he was neither an employee nor held any role.
According to Globo.com, documents and two people with knowledge of his role indicate he oversees security at CT Joaquim Grava, began when Stabile took office, liaises with the Military Police, and until recently travelled with the squad and handled the president’s personal security.
On 19 April 2026 he emailed the 31st Metropolitan Military Police Battalion to request an escort to the airport and for the return from Florianópolis for the Copa do Brasil tie against Barra on 21 April. He identified himself as operations manager and named Stabile.
On 23 May he again sought police support, this time to escort Platense during the Argentine team’s stay in São Paulo for last Wednesday’s Conmebol Libertadores match at Neo Química Arena. He held precise schedules and the Guarulhos hotel.
A subsequent statement denied any employment link or paid post and described any occasional actions as voluntary. Fernando did not respond to calls or messages.
A company in Fernando’s name later received R$ 676,000 from the club between September and October 2025 for security work despite no signed contract or Federal Police licence. Stabile denied requesting or knowing about the company and admitted an administrative error.
