Josh Coburn hauled Millwall level in the 58th minute and then decided the game late, as the visitors beat Middlesbrough 2-1.
Coburn first pounced from close range after a corner, reacting quickest to Mihailo Ivanović's knock-down to turn in from inside the six-yard box.
He then produced the decisive moment, driving in from the left side of the area to find the bottom right corner (86.), this time after Barry Bannan slipped him in.
The forward finished with two attempts, both on target and both goals, plus four touches in the box. He also contributed two clearances and four recoveries, showing his graft off the ball as the Lions absorbed pressure.
Because he attacked set piece scraps and then timed his late movement between centre-backs, Coburn kept Boro uneasy and turned sparse service into maximum impact.
The Lions climb from fourth to second in the Championship. They host Norwich next, while Boro visit Swansea.
