FC Bayern have apparently been offered a top international striker, but sporting director Max Eberl has turned him down
At FC Bayern, the distribution of roles in the forward line is clearly defined. Harry Kane is set, delivers goals on an assembly line and is one of the undisputed fixtures both in sporting terms and internally. Nevertheless, the record champions were recently offered a well-known attacker – and received a clear rejection
As reported by the Munich newspaper tz, Victor Osimhen was recently offered to FC Bayern via an English intermediary. Galatasaray Istanbul, where the Nigerian has been under contract since the summer of 2024, would be willing to sell and would be happy to generate revenue with a transfer. Osimhen’s contract runs until 2029 and his market value is estimated at around 75 million euros
The 27-year-old initially moved to Istanbul from Naples on loan and was subsequently signed permanently. In sporting terms, Osimhen remains one of the most sought-after centre-forwards in Europe and is said not to be averse to a move to Munich. There have already been repeated points of contact between the attacker and FC Bayern in the past
Osimhen was linked with Munich as early as 2023, and in autumn 2024 reports also circulated about a possible clause that would allow him to leave Istanbul if one of his preferred top clubs was interested. FC Bayern are also said to be on this list

Nevertheless, sporting director Max Eberl was quick to make it clear that a transfer is currently not on the table. According to tz information, Bayern have clearly signalled to the Osimhen camp that there is no need for the nine. The only prerequisite for a rethink would be the departure of Harry Kane – but precisely this scenario is currently considered extremely unlikely. Although the Englishman has an exit clause that would allow him to move for €65 million in the summer, it is assumed internally that Kane wants to stay at FC Bayern
Irrespective of this, those responsible are keeping an eye on the market. There is no clear alternative behind Kane in terms of prospects. It is considered unlikely that loan striker Nicolas Jackson will be signed permanently by Chelsea FC beyond the summer. Munich are therefore continuing to look at possible back-up solutions. The internal list includes Franculino Djú from FC Midtjylland and Hoffenheim’s Fisnik Asllani.
