Strasbourg eliminated Monaco 3-1 in the Coupe de France last 16 at La Meinau, with Valentin Barco outstanding and Thilo Kehrer struggling. The hosts advanced on Thursday night after a vibrant display that overwhelmed the visitors.

Barco blocked Vanderson’s shot in the second minute, then Diego Moreira burned Kehrer on seven minutes to set up Godo’s opener. Barco’s cross for Panichelli on nine brought further danger, and Mika Biereth was booked for a foul on Barco on 11. According to L'Équipe, Barco returned from suspension and dominated the midfield.

Alexandre Golovine was withdrawn at half-time for Simon Adingra. Julio Enciso struck on 55 minutes, rounding the goalkeeper with a superb double touch, before Biereth replied with a crisp right-foot finish on 58. Enciso made it 3-1 on 61, profiting from Zakaria’s lay-off and a Kehrer slip.

Folarin Balogun and Stanis Idumbo arrived on 73, then Moreira made way for Andrew Omobamidele on 77. Balogun headed against the bar on 82 and Idumbo dragged wide on 84. Adingra struck the post on 90+2 minutes.

The player marks underlined the gulf. Barco received 8 out of 10, with Moreira, Enciso and Guéla Doué each on 7, Enciso now on five goals in three games. Biereth earned 6 for his goal and graft, while Kehrer was marked 2 after a difficult night.
