Sunderland and Bournemouth ‘to step up’ £30million move for Tarik Muharemović amid Juventus clause talk | OneFootball

Sunderland and Bournemouth could move for Sassuolo centre-back Tarik Muharemović in the coming days, according to Tuttosport, which says Juventus are currently behind in the chase.

The 23-year-old is valued at about £21.5million to £30million. Juventus are also said to hold buy-back and sell-on clauses, with suggestions they could re-sign him for around £15.5million.

Born in Slovenia, he represents Bosnia and Herzegovina and has senior caps after captaining the country’s under-21 side.

He came through Wolfsberger AC, made five first-team appearances, then joined Juventus in 2021. He mainly featured for Juventus Next Gen, making 47 Serie C league appearances and scoring twice.

A 2024 loan to Sassuolo proved pivotal as he became a key figure in their Serie B title win and immediate return to Serie A. The move became permanent the following year and he has since made 32 Serie A appearances, scoring twice.

Across his career he has 136 senior club games and six goals, plus 17 caps for Bosnia and Herzegovina.
