Sunderland and West Ham meet on Saturday lunchtime, both aiming to build on their latest Premier League wins as absences and returns shape selection.

According to Sunderland Echo, head coaches Régis Le Bris and Nuno Espirito Santo welcome players back from AFCON while managing injuries and availability.

Habib Diarra trained with team-mates on Thursday for the first time since AFCON ended and should rejoin the squad, although limited preparation suggests a bench role initially.

Chemsdine Talbi has trained this week after AFCON and should also be back in the squad.

Lucas Paqueta remains unavailable. He missed the win over Spurs with a minor injury, and with Flamengo interested in a deal Nuno says the situation is unchanged for Saturday.

El Hadji Malick Diouf has returned from a successful AFCON campaign and is available, though his level of involvement is unclear.
