Soon after full-time, Sunderland switched their cover image across platforms to travelling fans celebrating inside St James’s Park. The photo included a banner reading “Eddie Howe’s black-and-white army”, a pointed nod to the hosts.

The club also posted Brian Brobbey’s winner set to Fender’s track Rein Me In, featuring Olivia Dean, a knowing choice given the singer’s Newcastle allegiance. The clip quickly picked up momentum across platforms.
