Leeds United resume their Premier League survival bid on Monday night at Manchester United, and the Opta supercomputer backs them in its final-table projection. According to yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk, the model points to a tense run-in.

Farke’s side reached an FA Cup semi-final for the first time in 39 years after Sunday’s penalty shootout win at West Ham. Focus now returns to Old Trafford and the league campaign he has cast as the club’s priority.

Leeds are four league matches without a goal, though their last two outings ended as goalless draws, against Crystal Palace then most recently Brentford.

With seven games left, they sit 15th, four points clear of third-bottom West Ham, three ahead of fourth-bottom Tottenham Hotspur and one above fifth-bottom Nottingham Forest. There is a six-point gap up to 14th-placed Crystal Palace, while bottom two Wolves and Burnley are adrift.

Tottenham have installed Roberto De Zerbi for their survival push. The projections still point to a nail-biting finish.

The model’s predicted top six reads: Arsenal 85 points, Manchester City 75, Manchester United 66, Aston Villa 65, Liverpool 60 and Chelsea 58.
